A New Day

I’m becoming more and more disillusioned with the frenzy around the “New Year”. The hot topic that fades into existence after 7-10 days of excitement. I’ve convinced myself in the past that there is something magical about starting fresh on January 1st. But, I don’t want to be confined to one day. The day that, if missed, I’ll have to wait another year for.

I want to celebrate a “New Day”. The daily celebration of God’s mercy and the unmerited favor that I’m given to start anew. The freedom from last year getting a label of “good” or “bad”.

So “Happy New Day” from me to you… today, tomorrow and the next.
